The Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival, Inc.is an independent, non-profit organization with no paid staff, no office space, and whose sole purpose is to raise funds for local community projects. Since our founding in 1981, theFairfield Christmas Tree Festivalhas touched the lives of tens of thousands of our neighbors by donating more than $2.8M to local charities (seePast Recipients).
This year we have chosen to benefit two very special organizations! They share a mutual commitment to improve the quality of life for as many families as possible by expanding their community outreach. We are thrilled to partner with them in this mission. The Cardinal Shehan Center more info and The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Centermore info are vital to our community and touch the lives of many people by providing education, care, and support. Each year hundreds of dedicated volunteers magically transform the historic Burr Homestead in Fairfield, Connecticut into a celebration of the Christmas season. Local interior and floral designers donate their time, talent, and energy creating elegantly decorated rooms. Every space in the Burr Homestead is transformed into a Holiday Showcase highlights. Each holiday vignette is filled with beautiful handmade wreaths, trees, garlands, and holiday decorations that are available for you to purchase. Our Holiday Boutiqueoffers a splendid selection of unique gifts and ornaments to help you with your holiday shopping. Floral designers are available in theLive Wreatharea to create fresh evergreen decorations in a variety of wreath sizes made especially for your home from an extensive selection of trimmings and festive designer ribbons.
For 31 years, Cecily Zerega, a longtime Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival Board Member, has designed and created beautiful quilts for our annualQuilt Raffledetails.The recipient of the 2012 Raffle's net proceeds will be Emerge, Incdetails.
Special events during the Festival weekend include aGala Partydetails, our always popular Children's Eventdetails, a Wine Tastingdetails, and an Afternoon Tea Event details.
